A Year of MissionA Year of Mission Logo

During our Year of Mission St. Luke's will work with All Saints and Cox Green to have a year focusing on mission in our parishes. Bishop Andrew has made available some (generous) funding to enable us to put on specific activities and events and to reflect on how we might share our faith with those around us—and then do it more effectively.

We hope most people can come and join us at the events, many of which will include Fr. Jeremy from All Saints and Revd Joan from the Church of the Good Shepherd, along with friends from their parishes.

Bishop Andrew Commission A Year of Mission on Sunday 11th February at St. Luke's

Bishop Andrew commissioned the congregations of St Luke’s, The Church of the Good Shepherd and All Saints for our joint Year of Mission at a short but important service as we began the year of mission.

Roughshod Theatre Company's 10 day visit to Maidenhead

Roughshod Theatre CompanyThe first main activity will be from 18th—28th March, with the Roughshod Theatre Company, when, after a welcome launch on Sunday 18th March, we will lead a variety of activities in churches, in schools and in other places.

Mixing comedy, dramatic storytelling, spoken word and the personal experience of the actors themselves, Roughshod deliver a show that asks: what happens when God intervenes in ordinary lives? In an anxious world of mixed messages it can be hard to find truth among the headlines.

On the 24th of March there will be a breakfast with Roughshod and an evening performance at St. Luke's. We will share Palm Sunday Morning Worship on the 25th March with Roughshod (The People’s Passion) at the Desborough Suite in the Town Hall.

Roughshod will be visiting our Schools, Care Homes and other places - the open (some ticketed) events are listed below.

Join our five performers for an energetic, entertaining show about faith, hope and everything in between. Five young people in search of their futures reveal some surprising stories of hope in their new faith-filled show for 2018. A passenger on a train gets help from an unexpected stranger, a community is transformed by a shattering lesson, a small time crook gets an offer he can’t refuse….

This event promises to be one of the highlights of Roughshod's 10 day visit to Maidenhead.
